Research
Applied research in artificial intelligence and data science. We take questions that matter to real organisations, test methods against real constraints, and pursue only what survives contact with production.
AI architecture
Where most of our thinking goes. Intelligence on its own is not a system. We design the structures that make it one: how data flows, how decisions are checked, how reliability and accountability are engineered in, and how the whole holds together as it scales.
AI products
Research that stays in a paper changes nothing. We carry our work through to product: designed, engineered, documented and run with the discipline of software that has to work every day, for people who are not interested in how clever it is.
Data science and engineering
Every intelligent system stands on its data. We build the foundations: the pipelines, platforms and models that turn raw, awkward, real-world data into something a business can trust and act on.
Compliance and assurance
We build systems that can answer for themselves. Governance, auditability and regulatory compliance are designed in from the first sketch, because in the industries we care about, a system that cannot show its working does not ship.

How we work
Research
Start with a question worth years, not weeks. Read everything, assume nothing, write it down.
Prototype
Build the smallest thing that can prove the idea wrong. Most ideas fail here. That is the point.
Product
Engineer what survives, properly: tested, documented, secured and supportable.
Own
Develop what we build into intellectual property the company holds, and keeps improving.
We build products, not projects. Seillen is not an agency: we develop and own our own technology, and work with a small number of partners where that work fits.
Our standards are set by regulated and data-intensive industries, where evidence, governance and reliability are not negotiable.
